YOGA CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Align and Flow: A bit of alignment and a bit more flow. We move and breathe, taking time to pause and feel, observe and adjust. Mindful movement is coupled with breath, and longer holds in poses are complimented with active alignment cues. This class is suitable for students newer to yoga as well as experienced students interested in a lower intensity flow.

Find your Flow: A Vinyasa class that is an uplifting journey into the magic of yoga. You’ll move with your breath and the beats, you’ll sweat and you’ll go deep in an inspiring practice that nourishes the soul and invigorates the body building flexibility, strength and ultimately, inner stillness.

Gentle Chair Flow: Gentle Yoga is perfect for seniors, or those recovering from an injury or suffer from chronic pain. Gentle postures are taught at a slow pace with attention to alignment and posture. The use of supportive props such as chairs, blocks, blankets, and straps are used to accommodate where you are, allowing you to find a safe and comfortable position. This class is wonderful for senior students who need the assistance of props.

Heated Vinyasa: This class offers a yoga sequence that links breath with movement but in a heated room.  Move fluidly through a strong Vinyasa practice at your own pace and the rhythm of your own breath.

Modifications are offered throughout the class so students may increase or decrease the intensity of the class depending on their abilities and personal practice. Our instructor will guide you through a series of asanas, or postures, that will build stamina, increase strength and improve stability, as well as providing a safe environment to practice finding mental and emotional calm while being challenged by the flowing movement from one posture to the next.

Morning Vinyasa Flow: Come wake up your body, settle your mind and find your breath in this all levels flowing practice. The class is designed to help you find foundational strength, freedom of movement and a connection to your breath so that you feel grounded, energized and will flow into the rest of your day.

Noon Yoga Flow: This class is an all levels, mid-day Vinyasa flow.  Come for some stretching and breathing, and leave a bit lighter than when you entered. This class is designed to get you in and out, and back to your desk, kids, errands, and other daily activities with a clear mind and strong body!

Power Flow: Power Flow uses a varying sequence of postures with an emphasis on strength, flexibility and flow. Students move from one pose to the next while connecting their breathing to the movements. This class allows the individual practitioner to modify or intensify postures as needed to create a healthy, balanced body.

Restorative: A Restorative yoga practice is designed to restore the nervous system and help release deeply held tensions from the body and mind. We use props to support the postures, while gently stretching and strengthening the body. It is a practice of deliberate stillness, requires no muscular effort and provides a time for BEING instead of DOING. This class is appropriate for students of all levels.

Restorative Aroma Yoga: A Restorative yoga practice is designed to restore the nervous system and help release deeply held tensions from the body and mind. We use props to support the postures, while gently stretching and strengthening the body. It is a practice of deliberate stillness, requires no muscular effort and provides a time for BEING instead of DOING. This class is enhanced by aromatherapy and applied therapeutic grade essential oils on the body in each posture. Leave feeling renewed and restored. This class is appropriate for students of all levels.

Slow Flow: This class has the feel of a typical Vinyasa class while slowing down the pace of the class. You will move mindfully, holding poses longer while building both strength and balance on the yoga mat. Enjoy slowing down, moving mindfully but powerfully, and breathing deeply.

Slow Flow and Let it Go: This practice combines the best of gentle Vinyasa and Restorative yoga and is all about self-care. We will begin with a slow flow, which will emphasize synchronizing breath and movement. Then we will transition into a quiet, meditative, floor-based practice where you will slow down, sink in and relax. Restorative yoga features the use of props to allow for total body support in simple, long-held poses. Restorative yoga allows the body to rest, supported by blankets, blocks or bolsters. Providing the body with physical support helps the body and mind to come into a state of relaxation. Students will practice deliberate stillness and conscious rest. As the body rests muscle tension begins to unravel, stress begins to melt away the mind begins to quiet, aiding the natural healing process of our bodies.

Slow Flow and Unwind: Get moving, centered and ready to unwind for the weekend. Enjoy an opportunity to slow down, move intentionally, breathe deeply and discover what happens when you are given time to move mindfully in each pose. The class will end with a short sequence of supportive and restorative poses; followed by a peaceful savasana. All levels are welcome.

Sunrise Yoga: Get moving, get centered and flow. This early morning yoga flow will help awaken your body, clear your mind and prepare you for the day's that’s ahead of you.

Vinyasa Flow (All Levels): This class offers a yoga sequence that links breath with movement. Move fluidly through a strong Vinyasa practice at your own pace and the rhythm of your own breath.

Women's Health Yoga: This is a class for women to help them through the challenges and transitions related to the 3 seasons: Womanhood, Motherhood, and Wise-Womanhood. Yoga classes are designed with the intention of promoting hormonal balance to support healthy cycles & fertility, pregnancy, and moving in and through menopause.

Warm Flow and Sculpt: Come experience the fun and sweaty energy of Warm Flow and Sculpt! This challenging, dynamic class focuses on building whole-body strength and stability together with a carefully sequenced yoga flow. You will use props and body weight to create a stronger foundation for you practice. Class ends with a well-deserved Savasana and you will walk away feeling powerful and invigorated. All levels are welcome.

Yoga for Beginners: Interested in yoga, but unsure where to start? All levels are welcome; but this class is especially appropriate for beginners. This class is designed as an introduction to the practice of yoga. Class is slower paced than an all-levels class, and focused on developing clear and safe alignment in foundational poses. Come to learn, play, and maybe even break a sweat in a supportive environment. You don’t need to be able to touch your toes; you just have to be willing to try.

Yoga Stretch: Just what the name implies, you will delve into some good hip, low back and hamstring stretches. Great for everyone who would like to increase mobility and flexibility. This class is a great compliment to a more vigorous practice or any type of sport or fitness regime. Great for all levels.
